Candied lemon, lemonade, fresh white flowers. Lively, layered + crisp with ginger, ripe pineapple, lemon, white peach. From one of our favorite winemakers Ian Brand, this is his homage to traditional Spanish wine. Albariño's home is in Galicia, where the wine has abundant salinity and freshness and is often paired with seafood. The Kristy Vineyard is on an ancient sea bed, exposed to the cooling breezes of the Monterey Bay, perfect for his rendition of Albariño. Ian Brand was named winemaker of the year in 2018 by the San Francisco Chronicle; his dedication to terroir and delivering wine with distinct character makes us swoon.

La Marea, made by Ian Brand of Le P’tit Paysan, is a tiny winery focused on single vineyard Spanish varietals “rooted in the sea, the soil and the sea air”. Brand believes Monterey and San Benito to be some of the most ideally suited climates in California for Spanish varietals. Kristy is special because Albarino in the vineyard reaches full phenological ripeness at low potential alcohol for natural, bright acidity. Cold fermented in stainless steel for aromatic intensity.
