Minerally lemon, white flowers, sugared honeydew on nose. Palate is bright yet structured and textural with lemon, lime and grapefruit touches. Give it time to open up, and don't drink it too cold (which hides its subtleties). Arneis is a Piedmontese grape, originally from Roero and recently on the verge of disappearing with only two wineries vinifying the grape in the 1970s. In the 1980s demand for white wine in this region prompted re-focus on what some call "white Barolo". This Arneis is made by Bruna Grimaldi, a lovely small family producer in the Grinzane Cavour area of Barolo.
