Thorne & Daughters "Copper Pot" Chardonnay, 2021


Chardonnay


Creamy, expressive yet balanced with notes of lime, apple, pear, pineapple + hints of chamomile. 


Made by John & Tasha Seccombe of Thorne & Daughters originally for Tasha’s parents hotel / restaurant in the Drakensberg mountains. Named “Copper Pot” as the hotel’s logo features a copper pot.  The wine grew in popularity, reaching us now in the States due to it being simply delicious.


The fruit was handpicked, crushed, and fermented naturally in old 228L oak vessels. Spontaneous Malolactic fermentation, aged 9 months in oak. Filtered, not fined.
