Ripe blackberry, sweet strawberries, vanilla cream, brush, cedar, sweet flowers. Palate continues nose with hints of wild mint laced with ripe dark berries, candied strawberry, raspberry meringue, softened with cream touches and brightened with a raspberry finish.  The Altare family purchased their land and winery in 1948, growing not only grapes but also  orchard fruit and hazelnuts. Sylvia, Elio and Lucia’s oldest daughter, is leading the way but this is still very much a full-family effort.  Rooted in Piedmontese tradition, limiting chemicals in the vineyard and hands in the cellar; typically unfined and unfiltered to present pure wine.
