Strawberry, raspberry, cocoa nibs, menthol + suede on nose. Palate is full of bright berries, pine, tobacco + Tuscan terroir. Pier Luigi Tolaini returned to his homeland of Tuscany in 1998 to fulfill his dream of creating world class wine with the belief the "best fruit produces the best wine". He purchased land in the southernmost commune of Chianti Classico, Castelnuovo Berardenga and built a state of the art winery from the ground up. "Al Passo" is named after an area in which an Estruscan tomb was recently uncovered in their vineyard, clearly a special place for thousands of years. Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon
