Allspice, strawberries, raspberries, elegant vanilla bean vibes, hazelnut on a bright, red-fruited nose. Purple flowers, strawberry meringue, orange, on a light-bodied and vibrant palate. Mortellito is in the south of Sicily, same latitude as North Africa’s arid desert climate; The wines are bright, fresh, vervy and coastal. Dario Serrentino was a grape grower before winemaker, transitioning in 2014 with goal to produce clean and transparent wines. Most grapes are grown bush-style (goblet) with no chemical pesticides or fertlizers. 75% Frappato, 25% Nero d'Avola fermented and aged 6 months in Stainless Steel.
