Freisa, a native grape of Piedmont, rarely is exported - it is lively, often drunk young, and kept to be consumed by the locals. Monferrato (the region) Freisa (the grape) fully soaks up the terroir of the land into the wine.
This “Canone Inverso” seeks to present itself in a bit more mature fashion than its lively peers. It is ruby red in color with red fruit, spice and herbaceous notes on the nose. Balanced, soft and fresh on the palate with smooth tannins.
Fermented and aged in stainless steel for 12-18 months; aged 6 months in bottle before released.
