Very excited to share with you another Mary Taylor Selections find! Mary Taylor works directly with winemakers in Europe to produce exclusive wine for her label; these wines are of supreme quality and at quite the steal of a price. 100% Glera, the official name now of the grape used to make Prosecco. The change was made in 2009 to designate the wine as belonging to the region of Prosecco, not tied to the varietal, kind of like Champagne is only from Champagne. This wine is made by two sisters and their children in the valley below the town of Montecchio Maggiore, made famous by Shakespeare. The soils are speckled between limestone + volcanic.
