Located in the town of Mêda, the estate has been in the Carvalho-Martins family for four generations. Founded in the early 1900s by Augusto Carvalho, he planted vines and sold grapes for Port wine production. His grandson, Manuel Carvalho-Martins, realized the potential of this terroir and cultivated local varieties of Rabigato, Visionho, Gouveio, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Barroca, and Touriga Franca. And now, the latest generation has began bottling their wines for sale; A true generational effort to deliver quite charming and ethereal wine, fantastically expressive of the land and spirit of deep ties and familial roots to this area.
