Wild rose bush, magnolia, rhubarb, red cherry pie, twigs, lanolin, slight hickory smoke. Concentrated red berries and black currant on a rustic, defined palate. 100% Gamay Noir from 40+ year old extremely low-yielding vines. Château du Moulin-à-Vent, named for the 300-year-old stone windmill atop the hill of Les Thorins, is a family-owned domain since 1732 - at that time called Château des Thorins. Moulin-à-Vent is one of the ten Beaujolais "crus" in the northernmost part of the Beaujolais region, which are so unique and special they have the highest level of designation.
