White grapefruit, white flowers, lime, summer peach on nose. Palate is lifted lime, mandarin, lilies, green apple with flinty minerality. Menetou-Salon is in the central Loire Valley, often compared to its neighboring appellation of Sancerre (like, right next to it).  The wines coming from Menetou-Salon are in many ways more intriguing, unique and expressive (while also a much better value) than some of the Sancerre that's being churned out. La Clef du Récit is located in Vinon, taken over in 2012 by Anthony Girard - a fun, passionate young winemaker, his wines exude his spirit and skill.  100% Sauvignon Blanc.
