Fresh cherry spice, black and boysenberry fruit loaded with brisk acidity and minerality; light on its feet and elegant. Jean-Paul Brun started Terres Dorées in 1979 in Charnay, the southern part of Beaujolais. He makes wine here in a classic Burgundian style instead of the carbonic style which has come to dominate the style of the Beaujolais region. 100% Gamay. Concrete tank fermentation and aging, started with a 'pied de cuve' - where a small quantity of grapes are picked 1-2 weeks before harvest to kick-start the fermentation process with its own juices.
