Lime zest, pineapple, frosted lemon, touch of jasmine and chamomile. Palate is citrusy-fresh layered with nectarine, stone fruits and a mineral mouthfeel. This Sauvignon Gris bottling from Cousino-Macul honors Isidora Goyenechea, who in the 1800s was left widowed with seven children and the family businesses to run, including winemaking. She successfully endeared herself as a leading figure in Chile, known for her contributions to philanthropy and the arts. The original Sauvignon Gris cuttings were brought to Chile from the Graves region of Bordeaux in the 19th century by Isidora.
