Cedar box, clove, sage, menthol + blackberry on nose. Palate is smooth and rich, dense with whisps of vanilla and red roses layered on dark berries and tobacco leaves. 80+ year old vines of Cot (Malbec) from Southwest France, Cahors. Gilles Bley can trace his winemaking roots back many generations in this area. His vines lie high, on well-drained red clay and limestone flat terraces. Aged in 600-liter wood tanks for two years. Indigenous yeasts, no filtration.
