Tropical fruits, pineapple, lemon, chamomile. Palate is full of texture, tension and bright acidity with bitter orange, kumquat and white floral notes. This a blend of predominately Chenin Blanc and Roussanne with a touch of Verdehlo; Chenin Blanc provides backbone with its crisp acidity, Roussanne adds richness and aromatic complexity, while Verdelho brings a touch of exotic fruit and textural intrigue. A force in the new generation of winemakers in South Africa, Rüdger van Wyk embodies the spirit of the movement driven by minimal intervention revealing the nuance and purity of the terroir, yet also giving some boldness in the bottle.
