Wonderfully vibrant and complex with richly spiced citrus & apricot layered on an elegantly sturdy yet fresh palate, accented by floral notes. While the Tokaj region of Hungary is known for its dessert wines, the Furmint grape can be vinified as a dry wine when the grapes are picked early and aged in stainless steel. This one exemplifies fruit-driven roundness with brilliant acidity. The wines of Tokaj are ancient, where the world's oldest classification system started in 1730, several decades before Port wine and 120 years before Bordeaux. The terroir of the area is influenced with volcanic soils, defining the complexity of the wines.
