Peach pit and nectar on the nose, kumquat, lemongrass. Palate is light, crisp and minerally, structured with apricot and orchard fruit pit texture and a touch of lime. 100% Albariño from a single vineyard in the Juanico subregion of Canelones, Uruguay. Winemaker Santiago Deicas is third generation, his family moved to South America from Italy and founded the winery in 1978. Juanico is a coastal region benefiting from a temperate climate and well drained soils, allowing for slow ripening, giving the fruit time to develop natural acidity and salinity.
