Fratelli Revello Barbera d'Alba, 2018
Cedar, dark violets, tart blackberry. Lively tannins. The Revello family began replanting the vineyards on the land when they were renting a farmhouse from the local parish in the 1950s and selling off the grapes; 1967 marks the first year the wine was bottles under the Revello family name. Now preparing to transition to the fourth generation, the family upholds the philosophy that their wine is made in the vineyard. Hand harvested. 100% Barbera. Stainless Steel fermentation and aging, including several days of fermentation in roto-fermenter to extract color, tannins from grapes. Unfiltered.
