Araucano Carmenere Reserva, 2017
Grilled green & red peppers on the nose leading to thick dark berry and spiced palate. Hearty on its own, will stand up to hearty stews and winter fare. Carmenere is a dark-skinned grape originally from the Bordeaux region, but not widely planted there today. It is believed Carmenere came to Chile from Bordeaux in the early 19th century and is now a powerhouse wine of Chile. Aged 10 months in French oak.
