Spiced orange, nutmeg, plum, cedar box, hints of pine. Palate is bright with citrus, far-east spices, black cherry. "Cousin Oscar", named after his girlfriend's cousin (who is apparently irresistible to the ladies), is uber friendly and simply delicious. Jean-Marie Rimbert was raised in Provence on a mixed family farm as an agriculturalist, a "paysan". He manages his vineyards organically not necessarily for the wine in itself, but a broader idea of wanting to cultivate the land in a way that doesn't damage the environment because " I’m in it for the long term.” He purchased his estate in the small village of Berlou in 1996.
