2025 vintage update
Orange peel, white musk, lemon. Palate is bright and juicy with a citrus fruit salad; Punchy and zesty with stony minerality & lime zest on the finish. Mario Lucchetti began making wines in the 1980s with a passion for restoring the importance of the area's native varietals. Now he runs the estate along with his son, Paolo and their wives, Teresa and Tiziana. Dry, bright and vibrant, with plenty of fresh citrus fruit and saline mineral notes. An ideal introduction to Verdicchio, the indigenous white grape of Le Marche region of Italy. Hand harvested, stainless steel fermentation.
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico DOC | Marche, Italy
previous vintage
Fresh, sweet honeysuckle nose, white flowers. Lemon curd, guava, gravel, lime. Delicate, pretty, with weight and minerality. Mario Lucchetti focuses on the importance of restoring the native grapes of the Le Marche region of Italy, Lacrima di Morro (previous wine club selection) and Verdicchio. The soils are potassium-rich and iron-poor, creating distinctive and aromatic wines. 100% Verdicchio di Castelli de Jesi.
