Spice, black plum, cassis, licorice on nose. Palate is layered with blackberry and dense fruit, brightened with acidity and freshness. An all-in blend of Merlot, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec. Aged 14 months on French and American Oak. Hayes Valley has a storied history before Frank Hayes purchased the property in 1921, with the property historically raising cattle and planted to vineyards and orchards since 1820's. The original vineyards succumbed to Prohibition in the 30's, but many years later was replanted in 1985. Hayes Valley wines are a celebration of the revival of Central Coast viticulture.
