Lime blossom, orange curd, sugared lemon. Orange slice candy, frosted flakes on a high energy, spirited, dry, crisp palate. Passerina is the lesser known native white varietal from central Italy, grown on the Adriatic Coast in the Marche region where Verdicchio and Pecorino are the predominate varietals. The microclimate of Tenuta di Tavignano is ideal, with higher altitude, diurnal temperatures (warm days, cool nights) and soft slopes resulting in brilliant wines. While the Estate is family held, there is a deep team of exceptional people that invest in the land through organic farming as well as balancing tradition and innovation.
